Terms and Conditions of Joining David Lloyd Club
Just like many other health studios, David Lloyd Club also has its terms and conditions in order to fulfill the interest of their customers as well as of their company. In order to avail the membership at David Lloyd Club, the contract starts from 3 months and it goes till 12 months. It’s up to you as a client to decide for how much duration you want to commit to. You can change back to a monthly contract once you have met the basic minimum criteria at least. There are terms and conditions to avail certain discounts too.
Notice Period
If you want to cancel the membership then you will be required to inform the club at least one month in advance. The club observes a one month calendar. This means, even if you have given notice of membership cancellation at 10th of the month, it will only be considered at the 1st of the next month.
Cancellation Fees
The cancellation fees may depend from case to case and membership to membership. If you want to end your membership before you complete your minimum term then you might have to pay the termination fees for it. How the fees are calculated depends upon how much of the contract time is remaining. However, if you have gotten severely ill or have relocated somewhere or something then you may be treated as an exceptional case and your cancellation fees might not be charged.
Freezing Membership
You can also freeze your membership when you think there is a real genuine issue. And you can avail your membership back again.
However, freezing the membership doesn’t come for free. You might have to pay £10 or £20 per month in order to freeze your membership. And the duration of freezing your membership may vary from one month to six months. In case if you wish to get your membership frozen then you will be required to give the club a notice in written format.
Membership Transfers: Whether memberships can be shared or passed on
If you wish to transfer your membership to another person under your name due to any xyz reason then unfortunately, this is not allowed to do so under the banner of David Lloyd membership. You can neither transfer nor share or sell your membership rights to anyone else. Because everyone’s membership is tied to their own name over the contract.

If you end up relocating to a place with no David Lloyd Club then you can simply terminate your contract by providing proof of your relocation. You will not be charged the early termination fees even if your case is genuine.

Yes, definitely. David Lloyd offers discounts and promotions of their memberships. These come once in a while with a limited time-period offer. Ask from the staff to let you know of any ongoing discounts. And then you can avail them.
